It's Official!

Took my board exam on Friday...did not feel so great about it. "How can I study so much, but feel like I knew nothing???"

Then waited anxiously all weekend, thinking of worst case scenario plans, prayed...then had other people pray. Drove up to Seattle for a wedding and keep my mind off of the exam.

It was hard not to think about it, but I finally got the call this morning as I was having breakfast with a friend. I passed!!! I passed!!!

I am officially done with school, studying, and actually licensed!

Fridays with Riley

Riley (and Riley's mom) and I went to Roche Brothers to do some groceries.

As a strong believer of taking advantage of every teaching opportunity, I thought it'd be a good day to teach Riley how to pick a good watermelon :)

My plant, Kaiser

In the beginning...

3 months later...

I was given a bulb back in March by Mama and Papa Guidry. They didn't know what it was from, just said "plant it and see what comes from it." Kind of cool to see this thing grow, even though we still don't know what it is. Maybe a tree?

I usually don't name things, but this is Kaiser...because it was planted the same time I started my internship at Kaiser. Another marker of how God provides~

Sparkle City 2010-LA

Went to LA for a quick weekend trip with some college girlfriends...sorority sisters actually. Believe it or not, but I was in a sorority! But don't let the stereotype lead you to think that I was "that type of girl."

I do have to admit, being in a sorority was great...these were some of my close friends, strong Christian friends, and a place where I was able to gain more confidence in myself and leadership skills.

That's besides the point...the point is that we all got together at the Hoang Sister's pad in LA for some sun and good times.

Last to arrive LA: jpike and me...but we were ready!

Midnight 80's theme broomball. There's a first for everything!

There were more pictures, but waiting to organize them.

Graduation and such

It's been a week since traveling out to Boston for graduation....what a whirlwind weekend! But we definitely made the most of every minute spent out there.

So great seeing friends, classmates, and old stomping grounds. How I truly truly missed walking around Boston and eating at my favorite places. The weekend was also a time for me to show my mom the last 4 years of my life and meet the village that helped me get through PT school. I think it was overwhelming for the lady coming from Alaska.

Pictures from the weekend:
Fridays with Riley continued even after 5 months since the last Friday date. She grown up so much! Love this girl.

Before the ceremony...Kait, me, Katie, Becky, and Jacque.

Already May???

That old say about "April showers bring May flowers"....I always thought that it meant May would have nice sunny beautiful weather...so far, that is apparently not the case in Oregon. But I do have to say that there are great flowers out here.

Mid-way through my last internship...can't believe I'm having my midterm assessment this week. It's definitely going by fast. By God's grace, I'll be graduating in 2 weeks...getting excited about seeing everyone!!!!

Just got back from a friend's fundraiser for her school in Tanzania: www.ieftz.org I was extremely impressed at how far things have come along for her in the last 3 years.

Studying for the board exam has been put on hold, the energy has now shifted towards cover letters/applications.

Couple new additions to goals before 30:
4) 5 tricep dips
5) Learn to play golf
6) Learn to drink beer (especially if I'm going to live in Portland)

Goals before I turn 30

Next week I turn 29!!!

I really want to make the last year of my 20's a good one...the first half was rough: finishing college, moving abroad, trying to figure out what I wanted to do with my life....

The last half wasn't too bad: learning more about myself, growing to be more confident, living in one city for more than 4 years (that's A LOT for me).

I'm starting a list of things I'd like to do before I turn 30. They're not huge, more realistic, healthy goals and the list will continue to grow along the way. So far:

1) Make an international travel outside of Korea
2) Take a domestic vacation (ideally, Colorado, San Fran, or Chicago....any takers?)
3) Be able to do 5 pull ups :)
